Taylor Swift has become the first artist to win a Grammy for Album of the Year four times.

On Sunday night, the music superstar became the first person in the history of the Grammy Awards to win Album of the Year four times.

Taylor was presented with the award by Celine Dion, who made a surprise appearance at the ceremony despite her health problems.

The Cruel Summer hitmaker picked up the prestigious award for her 10th studio album, Midnights. She previously won the award in 2009 for Fearless, in 2016 for 1989, and in 2021 for Folklore.

“Oh god, no. I don’t know man,” Taylor said as she accepted the award from Celine.

The All Too Well hitmaker gave a shout-out to her long-time collaborator and friend Jack Antonoff, calling him a “once in a generation” producer. She also praised fellow nominee Lana Del Rey, who joined her on stage, saying she was a “legend in her prime right now”.

“I would love to tell you that this is the best moment in my life, but I feel this happy when I finish a song or when I crack the code to a bridge that I love or when I’m shotlisting a music video, or when I’m rehearsing with my dancers or my band or getting ready to go to Tokyo to play a show,” Taylor, 34, told the audience.

“For me, the award is the work. All I want to do is keep being able to do this. I love it so much. It makes me so happy,” she continued. “It makes me unbelievably blown away that it makes some people happy who voted for this award too. All I want to do is keep doing this. So thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to do what I love so much… mind blown.”

Taylor, who was nominated for six Grammys this year, also collected the award for Best Pop Vocal Album.

In addition to her big win, Taylor announced that she will be releasing her 11th studio album, titled The Tortured Poets Department, in April.
